Scott, you were amazing! Apologies it's been a few weeks writing this review, however I have to say you were one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we stepped into the van (which is a new Toyota Sienna, contrary to the photo ;) ) you made us feel like we were visiting a best friend that we've known for ages. You have such a radiant personality and overwhelming knowledge base of the history of the island and the many volcanoes. Getting to see Kilauea begin erupting on 05/03 when we were physically at Volcano National Park, and enjoying your enthusiasm over the whole thing was definitely a moment in time I will never forget. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for providing us a tour that we will cherish for a lifetime.

Scott, our guide, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and just plain fun to be with. He picked us up right on time at our rental condo, picked up two more couples and we were off to an amazing sightseeing and informative adventure. This man loves what he does and knows so much about the islands flora, fauna and history. Taking us thru Waimea, then to the northern coast, thru rain forests, to Hilo, and to the Akaka Falls, tallest in the US, then to the smoldering caldera of Kilauea volcano, our trip was fascinating and informative. This is by far one of the best tours you can do on this island. It is an all day tour, so bring a jacket for the higher elevations of Kilauea and DONT forget your camera. Breath taking views abound and will leave you speechless. The energy Scott has as a tour guide is unparalleled!! I could do this tour every month and still learn something new and never be bored. Go Vocano Van and Scott!!

We had an absolutely amazing tour of the volcanos on the Big Island yesterday, with Scott as our driver. We were staying in Kona and the volcanos are on the other side of the island-so we decided to book a tour instead of driving ourselves. What a great choice! We were picked up at our door, had the maximum size group-a total of 6 people plus Scott. The all day (and I mean 12 hours) tour took in waterfalls, lava tubes, a stop at Tex’s drive in for an amazing snack -a malasada- a beautiful rocky beach, a tree fern forest and the microclimates of this amazing island. Scott had such a wealth of information about the island, the geology, great special spots to see-it was Super! He is funny, engaging, and it was easy to spend 12 hours straight with him! The active volcano had a stunning plume, and while this group was not up for long treks in the lava field, the short trek (half hour) we took was great. Scott tailored this trip to the group and gave us a fabulous day. We have never been interested in big group tours, so a small size, personalized, with a great guy in charge, could not have been better. Thank you, Scott, for the wonderful introduction to the island and it’s volcanos! If you want to see the island rather than drive all day, and know what you are looking at instead of wondering what you are missing, book your tour with the Volcano Van.
