At first my husband didn't want to go because he thought it sounded scary going night snorkeling. There are a ton of other people on the water and I really is like a big night party and I felt totally safe. Budda and Chris did an awesome job making sure that we were in the best spots. We saw many manta ray and two of them kept coming right up to us practically brushing against us just to get a better look at us! It was one of those rare experiences that lives up to all the hype that precedes it!

Im so glad you talked your husband into going on the Manta Ray snorkel. I had to talk my mother into as well and she had a great time. Snorkeling wit the manta rays really is a special experience with them since there are not many locations around the world. In fact even in Hawaii the manta rays are only located on the Kona side of the Big island. Amazing creatures! Thank you for the review.

We took the Manta tour with Buddha and Kris on the recommendation of a friend. So glad we did! Because they only have one boat a night, they were able to wait out the weather, crowds and mantas. When we arrived at the designated snorkel spot, I was Leary ... so many boats, so many people, and it appeared not too many mantas. Buddha scoped out the spot he felt likely to work, and we entered the water. In no time three mantas were frolicking with us - at points literally inches from us. My kids are 13, 11, and 8 and they all loved this. Worth the money and time. Truly unique experience that we won’t forget.

Manta rays are probably one of the best experiences while on the big island. As I said before I think Buddha is the manta whisperer :) Along with captain Kris who is on top of the most experienced captains list for sure. Excellent team those 2. Thank you for leaving a review

Chris and Buddha are fantastic guides. Friendly, conversational and knowledgeable. My husband and I really enjoyed our experience. Oh, and the Mantas were something else. Buddha knows what he is doing and found us a great spot. He had patience and it paid off with s great finale. This small group tour is the way to go.
