This is an excellent way to see the city and learn a bit of its history. The ride was leisurely and not at all challenging. Lots of stops to discuss the sights.

Bike the Burgh was everything we hoped and more! We loved the unique experience of bike touring in Pittsburgh, what a great adventure! Our hosts for our Bike the Burgh adventure were kind and attentive, a really great team. Kane was our tour guide extraordinaire (and Pit history enthusiast), and Dave (master bike fitter) ensured we were ready for our bicycle ride. What a great way to see the city on bicycle for 3 hrs with this fantastic tour company! We joined up with others who were excited to see the sites. Our tour guide Kane gave us a combination of great historical insight and good sense of fun. We were so impressed with this cityā€™s cycling lanes, made for safe riding. Each stop was another opportunity to learn about the social action history of Pittsburgh. We heard about the people who lived and toiled, those who profited and gave back. We saw amazing river views, compared todayā€™s views against historical photos, and even crossed two bridges! Now that we had our initial tour, we may want to return and take up the offer to rent (those Italian) bikes for our own adventures after! Many thanks to the impressive duo Kane and Dave.
