So blessed with a beautiful sunny day, a very knowledgeable guide, Dave, and what turned out to be a private booking!!! We certainly got the star treatment! I was blown away by my misconception of Pittsburgh. I see why it is growing. If you are in Pittsburgh, you MUST take this tour to really appreciate the city. I plan to do it again soon but on their walking tour next time to catch more of the architectural detail. I could go on and on but don’t want to steal Dave’s thunder. He is a wealth of knowledge and delivers in a fun Q&A way. Thanks for a memorable and wonderful day!

I had a fabulous "Beauty of the Burgh" tour from Dave. He provided a great amount of history and he traveled with handouts and charts to amplify the history. This is the best way to get an overview of the downtown area and history (note, helps if you read a little history in advance.) The tour route is 90+% flat. I rode the "public" bikes. These are light weight, well maintained, 8-speed bikes. Changing gears is very easy. If you want to keep riding the bike after the tour, they'll give you a healthy discount off the regular rate...which is what I did. I actually rode to the Frick and Carnegie museums and also had a lovely ride up the Monongahela river. For any trip to Pittsburgh, I would take the Beauty of the Burgh tour on the 1st or 2nd day of any visit to Pittsburgh. Note, tours start at 10am.

Amazing bike tour of Pittsburgh, the perfect combination of education, scenery, architecture, and exercise! It was so fun despite some dreary fall weather and our tour guide Harry was excellent - he even pulled out a thermos of hot tea for us to enjoy mid-trip! Harry was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating to our party. It was a perfect activity to take our out-of-town family, but also learned many new facts about Pittsburgh myself. Great COVID protocols in place as well. I would highly recommend and will be back again!
