CLEAR KAYAKS! We'll get you checked in right when you arrive to allow for the most possible time on the water! Once you're all checked in, we'll give some basic paddle instructions and information about the tour ahead. The paddle will last about an hour and a half depending on the speed of our group and any wildlife we may see along the way. Bioluminescence is the emission of light by a living organism. When the organisms move in the water they create a beautiful glowing effect. This means that you can see fish underwater by the glow that they give off as they swim, your paddle will glow as you maneuver the waterways, and the natural flow of water will illuminate these organisms. The great thing about paddling in our clear kayaks is that you can also see the glowing directly below you! Paddling in a clear kayak will enhance your bioluminescence viewing experience by a long shot!

The tour was lovely, kayaking through the mangroves in the moonlight was beautiful!
Vincent and Jason were excellent guides, who helped us find manatees and osprey and other canal critters to keep us amused! They were thoughtful and careful to make sure we stayed safe, especially once the other kayak tours picked up!
I've heard the bioluminescence is even more beautiful on moonless nights. I'm excited to try this adventure again next summer with more friends!

Cassie and Jason were our tour guides and they did a great job ensuring we had a safe and wonderful experience on the water. However, we were disappointed to not see much bioluminescence compared to the advertisement. We know nature is nature but we hoped to see the bioluminescence on the water like pictured and not just as we disturbed the water with our paddles nets and hands and the occasional fish.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We're glad you had a good time with Cassie and Jason. There a few different factors to consider when viewing the bioluminescence. The darker the night the brighter the bio! On our website, we recommend joining us when the moon is 55% or less. Often time weather conditions can affect the visibility of the bio as you mentioned but we're glad to hear you still had a good time with us and our clear kayaks!

Excellent kayaking experience! We did the combination sunset and bioluminescent tour. Our guides, Blair and Jason were informative, friendly, engaging, and fun. I recommend this tour for teens and adults of all ages. It was a wonderful experience.
