16th Street Baptist Church
Admission And Guided Tour Of Church And Museum 16th Street Baptist Church played a significant role in the Civil Rights movement in the 20th Century. The church itself was the site of a horrific bombing that resulted in the tragic death of four young girls and the physical and emotional injury of additional children and adults.

Alabama Sports Hall of Fame and Museum
The Alabama Sports Hall of Fame (ASHOF) is dedicated to the celebration and preservation of Alabama's exceptional sports heritage. Located in downtown Birmingham, the ASHOF & Museum houses over 6,000 sports artifacts and is considered a benchmark for sports museums across the country.

Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum
The Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest motorcycle collection. With more than 1,600 motorcycles spanning over 100 years of production from all around the world, this museum is a motorcyclist’s dream. See hundreds of museum’s motorcycles displayed at a time in their 5-story building. The museum also features the world’s most extensive collection of Lotus cars. The museum is located at the Barber Motorsports Racetrack. Pets are not allowed. If you choose to visit during a major event weekend, you will need to purchase an event ticket to access the Park, along with this admission ticket to the Barber Museum. This site is free to the public and listed for your convenience Alabama's largest living museum, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens is 67.5 acres of nature designed to educate, nurture and inspire a passion for plants, gardens and the environment.

Birmingham Civil Rights Institute
The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute (BRCI) is a modern museum that is located within an area that includes the U.S. Park Service’s administered Birmingham Civil Rights National Monument, a collection of sites important to the American Civil Rights Movement. Visitors to the BRCI can experience a rendition of a segregated city in the 1950s, as well as examine a replica of a Freedom Riders bus and even the actual jail cell door from behind which Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. penned his famous “Letter From Birmingham Jail.” The institute is also home to an expansive archive of documents from the Civil Rights Movement and nearly 500 recorded oral histories relevant to the period. Across the street from the BRCI is Kelley Ingram Park and the 16th Street Baptist Church, two other important Civil Rights sites.

Birmingham Zoo
The Birmingham Zoo is one of Alabama’s top tourist attractions. With approximately 700 animals of 230 species, including sea lions, rhinos and endangered species from six continents, the Birmingham Zoo’s 122-acre site is the perfect place for you and your family to visit. Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum
The Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to the operation of historically significant railway equipment. Come ride a full-size diesel-electric train and a narrow-gauge steam train every Saturday during the operating season! All exhibits, operating trains & educational programs throughout the year function as unique means of fundraising, tourism, recreation & the preservation of the rich history of Alabama & our nation.

McWane Science Center
Fun and learning never end at McWane Science Center, a nonprofit, hands-on museum and IMAX Dome Theater. Four floors of interactive exhibits celebrate science and wonder, from an amazing collection of dinosaurs to innovative environmental showcases, imaginative early childhood play areas, and an awe-inspiring aquarium. Negro Southern League Museum
This site is free to the public and listed for your convenience. The mission of the Negro Southern League Museum is to present the history of African-American baseball in an unsurpassed manner by maintaining a world-class facility that recognizes the League’s impact on Birmingham, Alabama and the world of professional baseball. This understanding, along with the acknowledgement of the players’ ability to inspire people of all races and transcend barriers, establishes a blueprint for the Museum to evoke a broad-sense of community and create unparalleled cultural and educational experiences that acknowledge the past, embrace the present, and frame the future.

Oak Mountain State Park
Oak Mountain State Park is located in Pelham, Alabama and offers guests a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, camping, mountain biking and boat rentals. The 940-acre park is the largest in Alabama with an 18-hole golf course, an interactive Interpretive Center and the Alabama Wildlife Center.

Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark
Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark is the only 20th century blast furnace site in the country that is currently being preserved and interpreted as an industrial museum. Walk through the historic furnace site and learn how iron was made, why it was important to Birmingham, and the stories of the men who worked the furnaces.

Southern Museum of Flight
The Southern Museum of Flight, one of the largest aviation museums in the Southeast, is dedicated to presenting civilian, military, and experimental aircraft and memorabilia from the earliest history of powered flight. The 75,000 square foot facility houses over 90 aircraft, as well as engines, models, artifacts, photographs, and paintings. In addition, the Southern Museum of Flight is home to the Alabama Aviation Hall of Fame with over 65 biographical plaques presenting Alabama aviation history through collective biography.

Vulcan Park and Museum
Atop Red Mountain on a 124-foot pedestal, Vulcan, the world’s largest cast iron statue, overlooks the city of Birmingham. The park grounds and observation tower offer breathtaking panoramic views of downtown Birmingham and the surrounding area - a great introduction to the city, day or night. Visit Vulcan Park and Museum’s tourist information center and explore indoor and outdoor exhibits that recount the region’s history as well as the story of the iconic 56-foot-tall statue that has become the beloved symbol of Birmingham. 7 days a week the Museum and The Anvil is open from 10am – 6pm Observation Tower is open from 10am – 10pm.
