The self guided audio walking tour worked perfectly technically. We were there Monday morning unfortunately the Museun was closed. The neighborhood was on the edgy side. We were approached a couple of times which made us uncomfortable. There was no edvidence of security of any kind in the vicinity. There were no other visitors around that morning. After half an hour walking we decided to complete the tour in our vehicle. It is really unfortunate that this very signicant hisitoric area is not better show cased and make the visitors feel safe at all times. I would suggest visiting there in a group of 4 or more or do it in your car. In my opinoin, the City of Memphis has dropped the ball here. This is the City's ledgecy, all it takes is one unfortunate incident that can scare peopleaway from visiting all over the world.

Really enjoyed the tour. So many buildings were pointed out that you wouldn’t know had such historical significance. Learning the history and importance of these sites was amazing. The sculptures along the tour were also definitely moving and powerful. 100% recommend this tour for anyone visiting the area!
