It was raining during our tour but the tour guide was nice enough to accommodate us and offer disposable ponchos.

6 years ago, my sister and I planned our first trip to Salem. There were so many tour companies and we had no clue which to choose. Unfortunately for our first trip, we didn’t know about Black Cat Tours and we went with another company and it wasn’t exactly what we were expecting. The following year, we decided to go back to Salem and that time booked with Black Cat Tours and boy were we more than pleasantly surprised!!! Daniel was our tour guide and the best thing about his tours is that he and his wife Lara actually do the research. These aren’t just “ghost stories from around the campfire”. If you question Daniel and he doesn’t know the answer, he’ll flat out say he doesn’t know and will look into it versus just making something up, which speaks to the integrity of the company. We have been going back to Salem twice a year for the last 5 years, only book Black Cat Tours, and Daniel actually remembers us whackos from NJ that have been on his tours in the pouring rain, snow, and this time warm weather lol. He sees thousands of people a year, but it’s actually pretty cool that he still remembers us each time.
