We weren't sure what to expect, but we got a personal tour of the cider making process along with a history by a charming, knowledgeable, vivacious guide. The cider tasting was outstanding. We bought three different sorts of the 8 we tasted. Highly recommend.

Visited the cidery on a rainy day late in December. 2 families with young adults (total of 11). Interesting to learn about the history of the property and the process of making cider. Loved we got to sample so many different kinds of cider and tour guide was great. With the tour you receive a glass with ‘Blue Bee Cider’ on it and I realized later we hadn’t received ours. I contacted the manager and he made sure we got them. Appreciated that and love the glasses. Highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Richmond.

Blue Bee Cider helped anchor the amazing revival of Scott's Addition, until recently a warehouse and industrial area west of Richmond's downtown. Scott's Addition is now a burgeoning center of the region's microbrewery industry, with 13 breweries within a few blocks of Blue Bee Cider. The cidery itself operates out of a renovated stone-walled stable complex formerly used by the city's Department of Public Works mules. The renovation was beautifully done. Our tour leader, Brian, was funny and knowledgeable, and the ciders were suited for all tastes. A treat for cider and wine lovers.
