We enjoyed the history and the grounds.. We toured in the afternoon. We started with a tour of the house and enjoyed the history shared about the building by our guide. We briefly viewed the Historical Dwellings on our way to the last presentation at 3:15 PM - Exploring the Gullah Culture. We really liked the presentation and the knowledge shared by the presenter. Before departing we took the wagon around the farm. It was neat to see that the Farm is still a working farm. Our tour bus arrived and departed through the avenue of the Oaks. That in itself was a memorable part of the visit.

Beautiful location, enjoyed house and tractor trip, guides knowledgeable. Can’t see house kitchen or upstairs. Didn’t really enjoy Gullah show as we didn’t learn much, we should have spent this time looking around slave huts and garden. We would’ve liked more time at the plantation as it was a lovely day out and would recommend it. The bus tour also gives you information on your way to plantation to set context. A trouble free way of travelling!
