This is a beautiful example of a time gone by. The historical significance of this place is well worth the time. It is beautiful, and we learned so much.

I really wouldn't recommend this expensive tour. All they do is transfer you to the plantation (about 30 min.) from downtown Charleston and drop you off there. Driver (guide??) didn't give any info other than some of his favorite restaurants in the area. He then turned on the TV about the PLANTATION that we were visiting! No info on what the agenda was, who'd meet us, where we were supposed to go, etc. We might as well take Uber ourselves there and have the same experience, at a fraction of the price.

Awesome adventure. The drive and driver were very enjoyable. The historical talks and especially the Gullah presentation were educational and done really well. Loved the ride on the tram and learning the agricultural history of the working plantation. I highly recommend this tour!
