I stood outside of the Slave quarters after touring the large plantation home And thought. How could a human being treat another human as subhuman not as smart or worse a slave. I wonder how many plantation owners had a smart slave probably smarter than his owner. They turned a blind eye to that which showed us a very dark side of this country.

Boon plantation was great. The grounds were beautiful. The tour guides very friendly and knowledgeable. I wish we had more time to spend there.

Our driver gave a very informative talk on the way to the plantation. Boone Hall is beautiful and there is a lot of history (some very disturbing). We did not have time to see everything in the 3.5 hours we were there so plan to return. The only disappointing part was realizing the cost of admission is only $28 and we paid $65 per person. Next time we will drive ourselves.
