Boone Hall was very educational. Don’t miss the Gullah performance. It was spectacular. The history regarding the slave quarters was very enlightening. We also had an enjoyable tour of the house along with a tour of the farm. Wayne our driver was very informative. He is a native Charleston so he knew a lot of history.

We enjoyed visiting Boone Hall but had a few complaints. First, there were WAY too many people on the tour of the house. Secondly, there really wasn't enough time to do everything. By doing the farm tour in the tractor-driven wagon, I ran out of time to see the slave cabins. By far, the absolute best part was Ms. Jackie giving her presentation about Gullah culture. She is an outstanding story-teller and speaker & we truly loved hearing her. Our bus driver was very good.

Excellent tour, great history. Gotta see the History of the Gullah presentation. Boone Mansion history and architecture are amazing.
