Glenn, our tour guide was awesome. He helped me set up a private culinary walking tour of Portland bay for myself, wife and two young adult children.. We needed a tour at an odd time and he was able to accommodate. He started with the history of Portland and weived culinary history into the discussion. We started at Gilbert's Chowder House and had a full bowl of delicious Chowder. Then to Andy's for Haddock Tacos and beer from local Island Dog Brewing. The pub owner visited with us and we even went back the next morning for brunch and to watch soccer from Britain. At our next location, Gritty's, we were served the most amazing Lobster Roll. It was perfectly dressed and they only used claw meat. it was sweet and wonderful. Just the right amount of mayonnaise. Then we finished at Dean's Sweets and had the local favorite, Needham, and a second offering of your choice. If you love food, you will enjoy this tour.
