What To Expect
1
Ghosts & Gravestones
Step aboard the trolley of the doomed and join your host, a 17th-century grave digger, cursed with a sentence of eternal damnation. This wretched creature is doomed to travel the streets of Boston and relay the stories of the unfortunate souls he encountered and the macabre events he had been witness to during his purgatory. Hear about Boston's most sinister characters - from the Angel of Death to the king of all killers - the Boston Strangler. Learn about all the haunts that call the "Hub" their home. But that's not all! Step inside two of the oldest burying grounds in Boston for a walking tour you will never forget. Learn the significance of much of the imagery found in these 17th century burial grounds and the famous and not so famous (but even more interesting) occupants therein. Visit Copp's Hill Burying Ground in the North End, nestled atop the tallest point in one of Boston's oldest historic districts. Here you will visit the final resting place of Cotton Mather, a man famous for his "intimate" involvement with the Salem Witch Trials. Then to the Granary Burying Ground where you will visit the final resting places of many of the famous heroes of the American Revolution including John Hancock, Paul Revere and Samuel Adams. Remember that half of the tour is walking, so comfortable shoes are recommended (so you don't become "dead" on your feet)!

Cool trolley, great host performance. Got to go into locked cemeteries where famous people are laid to rest! Made me proud of my home city, even though I have been living in NH for the past 25+ years!

If youā€™re looking for a fun tour of Boston with spooky historical facts, this is a great option! The meeting spot is right on Atlantic next to the Marriott Long Wharf, not the docks like my Google maps was leading me to. So in case that happens to you, donā€™t do that lol Zed was our guide and was absolutely fantastic. He was super interactive and funny which kept our tour group engaged the whole time. He was very animated and had a character walk, so even when we were simply following him, he had me in stitches. We got on and off the trolley a few times and walked through graveyards. If you choose to stay on the trolley you will miss some fun moments, especially in the graveyard where John Hancock, Paul Revere and others are buried. We were met by another tour guide who was equally as great. I think her name was Greves. While this is marketed as spooky, itā€™s a lot of humor added so even if youā€™re not a fan of scary things, donā€™t worry- this is still for you. Overall my boyfriend and I had such a fun time. Made for a great night in Boston!

If you want to have a great time, book this tour and don't look back. One of the highlights of our honeymoon, every moment was fantastic. Our tour guide (who I am SO SORRY but I cannot recall her name, she was an undead pirate captain who took a photo with our little red Yarnie mascot at the end of the tour for our photo album, pic attached) was absolutely stellar. If you can find out who she is, please tell her what a wonderful job she did. Her character was fantastic and easily worth the price alone. We tipped $20 and even then felt like we were cheating her a little, she was THAT good. She knew her stories well, interacted great with the rest of the audience (especially since one of the group was a forensic psychologist) and was a ton of fun. We learned a lot of cool stories and facts about Boston (including finding out we JUST avoided booking the most haunted hotel in the world!) If she by chance reads this, or if the staff can notify her, please tell our tour guide that Jake and Leanne both wish her well and thank her profusely once again for being one of the highlights for one of the best weeks of our lives.
