Step aboard the trolley of the doomed and join your host, a 17th-century grave digger, cursed with a sentence of eternal damnation. This wretched creature is doomed to travel the streets of Boston and relay the stories of the unfortunate souls he encountered and the macabre events he had been witness to during his purgatory. Hear about Boston's most sinister characters - from the Angel of Death to the king of all killers - the Boston Strangler. Learn about all the haunts that call the "Hub" their home. But that's not all! Step inside two of the oldest burying grounds in Boston for a walking tour you will never forget. Learn the significance of much of the imagery found in these 17th century burial grounds and the famous and not so famous (but even more interesting) occupants therein. Visit Copp's Hill Burying Ground in the North End, nestled atop the tallest point in one of Boston's oldest historic districts. Here you will visit the final resting place of Cotton Mather, a man famous for his "intimate" involvement with the Salem Witch Trials. Then to the Granary Burying Ground where you will visit the final resting places of many of the famous heroes of the American Revolution including John Hancock, Paul Revere and Samuel Adams. Remember that half of the tour is walking, so comfortable shoes are recommended (so you don't become "dead" on your feet)!

Loved the interpreters. It's heavy on cheese and history, which is what we wanted. Fun and informative. The only negative element is from a conservation perspective. Both interpreters on the March 25 7pm tour touched and/or leaned on the gravestones they were speaking about. The gravestone near the entrance in the kings chapel yard (with an hourglass and death snuffing a candle) is showing a lot of rounding and oil markings on top, right where the guide's hands were resting. The other stones near it do not show that wear, so it seems like the touching and leaning during this tour, several times a night, is gradually and visibly damaging that gravestone. One guide also climbed up the side of the metro vent fencing. I realize both burying grounds are open to the public, and in general the public is not terribly respectful of historic items. I work in a museum and the public can be shockingly cavalier about handling items or climbing on our historic structures. The guide mentioned You're involved in the maintenance of the burying yards, so I want to acknowledge You're working to conserve. Please make a positive change to your program by not wearing away these stones, and especially not modeling that damaging behavior as acceptable. Thank you.

The walking was very unexpected thought it was going to be scary. Really wasn't the experience I thought it was going to be. It was an over priced fitness workout

While overall a pleasant experience, although overpriced for what it was, a ghost tour it really wasn’t. IIRC two or three ghost stories throughout the 90 min tour doesn’t really make it a ghost tour. Walking through two cemeteries in the dark pushed the rating up to average,
