I'd like to give this cruise an "Excellent" rating, but to be honest it was too short!! I think the vessel cruised around the harbour for about 45 minutes only - an hour would have been much better, although I can't really complain as I didn't actually buy the tickets. Or did I? They were included in my Old Town Trolley Tour (reviewed elsewhere - and it was awful!!) so have probably been included in the cost of the trolley tour - my cynical side suggests that the combined cost is actually given as the trolley cost and the organising company hopes that there won't be time for you to join the cruise, thus they get money for nothing!! But I digress. This little cruise was popular, and we took the last of the day, at 16:30. There was commentary from an Irishman (what other nationality could he have been!!), which was very informative and very funny. I couldn't help being impressed by what the fella said - even though he must say it 4 or 5 times a day, several times a week, he didn't sound at all bored by his task. He got plenty of tips at the end! If I were to do this cruise again, I would go earlier in the day as I'd like to hop off at USS Constitution and have a nose around. A tip - start queueing early as this is popular and may have to turn late-comers away.

We loved the historical cruise and felt it was brimming with interesting historical tidbits that made for an interesting ride home. You hear about the development of Boston from its very beginnings to the present day. It’s fantastic to look at the city from this perspective. Historical details such as stories about the Boston Tea Party, Bunker and Breed’s Hill, and the beginnings of the Revolutionary War are part of the experience as well as the geology of the region. It was a cloudy autumn day and a perfect way to spend it.

Very good. So much history in the Boston Harbor. It was raining very hard, but we still enjoyed the trip.
