What To Expect

North End

All Food & Drink Tours start in the North End. The North End is Boston's oldest neighborhood, first settled in 1630. Today, this area is affectionately known as Little Italy, and is home to some of the City's very best restaurants, pizzerias and bakeries. From here, walk to historic Long Wharf to catch a scenic Ferry Ride across Boston Harbor!

Charlestown Navy Yard

The Charlestown Navy Yard is home to the USS Constitution, the only "floating site" on Boston's Freedom Trail. Hear the story of how this famous War Ship earned it's nickname - "Old Ironsides".

Bunker Hill Monument

Bunker Hill is the site of the 1st major battle of the American Revolution. Dr. Joseph Warren died in the waning moments of this historic battle. Hear the story behind that famous military command - "Don't fire til you see the whites of their eyes!"

Warren Tavern

Hoist a beer (or wine, or soda!) under the very same roof as George Washington, Samuel Adams, Paul Revere and Dr. Joseph Warren - the taverns namesake. This historic tavern was built in 1780!

Old State House

The Old State House is the oldest standing public building in the Eastern US. The circle of cobblestones in front of this historical landmark commemorate the 1st bloodshed of the American Revolution - the Boston Massacre.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace

After your return Ferry Ride from Charlestown, explore the Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market area. Faneuil Hall (aka the "Cradle of Liberty") has always been the central marketplace for Boston, and still is today. Hear the story of wealthy merchant, Peter Faneuil, who built this at his own expense in 1742.

Bell In Hand Tavern

The last tavern stop (includes one drink and snacks) will be at either the Green Dragon aka "Headquarters of the Revolution" or the Bell in Hand aka "America's Oldest Tavern".

North End

This Fun & Unique walking tour finishes back in Boston's North End for cannoli from a famous North End bakery!

I was visiting from Los Angeles for a day. I was the only one booked so they were unable to do the tour for just one person but I actually did the North End Pizza and Walking tour. The tour operator Martin was very good at communicating different options for me to still do some tour. My tour guide Big Al was amazing! He’s knowledgeable, funny, and you can tell he enjoys what he does. He really has a passion for the city and it shows! Whenever I come back to Boston, I’d absolutely do another tour! Also the food was DELICIOUS! Big Al won’t steer you wrong. Thank you for the great afternoon!

Big Al made the tour. Anyone can walk around Boston reading the placards, and taking in the sites, but they definitely won't have as much fun as they would if they were doing it with Alvin. His knowledge of the area is top notch and he made the tour so fun we felt like we were hanging out with a family member or friend. Plenty of food and the two drinks are icing on the cake.

Alvin is the absolute man! So I set up a bachelor trip party for my brother in Boston with 4 other guys. We all have a variety of interests from nerdier interests to sports and from beer and drinking, to less booze inclined. Each one of us had a blast with our tour guide Alvin. We saw bunker hill and discussed much of the history of the taverns. He was knowledgeable of specifically American colonial history as well as simply local history in general and know matter what ridiculous questions we asked or how the conversation changed from sports, to how a neighborhood changed, to where to find good pizza/seafood, he not only kept up with it, but added a ton of interesting information. The settings and discussions were mostly free flowing and easy and he was honestly just an all around great drinking buddy with a great sense of the area both historically and today. This trip is definitely worth it and if the people in charge see this review, just know Alvin is a fantastic employee and you definitely lucked out with him.
