Cruise by the North End and catch a glimpse of the Old North Church made famous by the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere.

This was presented as a cocoa and carols cruise. We booked it for a romantic anniversary celebration activity based on the description. The reality is that it is not a’carols’ tour- more of a Christmas pop songs from the ‘80’s and 90’s very festive and not particularly romantic. And, not a carol in sight! Just be aware that this is not a romantic holiday experience.

It looks like you may have booked through Viator, and in the Viator listing for this item we can find no use of the term romantic. One of the main bullet points also says: "Listen to live holiday hits from our jazz band". Christmas carols have several different definitions that vary from source to source, but many definitions include modern holiday songs, and the "holiday hits" language we use in the headline suggests this more modern definition. If you booked through a different avenue that has conflicting language, or if we otherwise missed any language on our listing that is misleading or should be updated, we would be happy to discuss it with you and make any needed updates. A fun night out with friends &family! The weather outside was frightful, but we were cozy inside with the energetic jazz band and very yummy cocoa!

We went to get our tickets about an hour before the cruise. When we went to the boat the crew said "they were supposed to give you a paper with your seat number along with your ticket." Never did, so we had to stand outside and wait for everyone else got on and we got the left over seat across from the bar away from everyone else. It was like we weren't incluced in the fun. There was a lady with her young son sitting at our table too, I think it was awful that they would seat a young boy across from the bar and not where they were singing. Also drinks were way over priced and cocoa was just Swiss Miss with mini marshmallows in paper cups. The 3 stars is for the crew and the scenery. They crew were very good and very apologetic for the "mix-up" and the scenery was nice.
