A New Hampshire native, I spent over a decade as a Boston resident, only moving back to my home state a few years back. My boyfriend and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary and decided to do so by taking a mini vacation to my old stomping grounds. We decided to play tourists in Boston and choosing to go on this tour was our best decision. Our tour guide, Jon Cotton (JC), was absolutely phenomenal. I don’t think I stopped laughing the entire tour, but I also honestly learned things I never knew about my adopted city. His knowledge seems endless; every question asked he had an answer to, and he gave us interesting tidbits along the way. I saw the city in a whole new light and, had time permitted, I’d have stayed on for a second tour with him because I bet he’d have given new and varied information. JC was so respectful to every person on tour and made it a point to try to connect with each person individually, even knowing phrases in a wide variety of languages to make those visiting from other countries feel welcome. While on tour I heard two other parties say they’d been on another trolley with this company and hadn’t enjoyed their experience, but were so glad to be on JC’s trolley now. I think we lucked out majorly. I highly recommend this tour, and call ahead to see if JC is working! You won’t regret it.
