We knew it was hop on/hop off, however, we had no idea that when you hopped off, you had no idea where to go. We had great difficulty finding the landmarks and the map provided was not any help. There was little signage and the driver sped off once you hopped off. When on the bus, the drivers were friendly and imparted information about the sights but overall, the 7 of us were disappointed. Two of our party actually left early because they were tired from searching for the points of interest. Just not a good day in Bean Town for us.

The Boston Hop-on Hop-off Trolley Tour is a relatively cheap way of seeing old Boston in comfort in an engaging and relaxing way, accompanied by a live and amusing commentary from the droll drivers. I really do recommend you to do this tour if you have limited time in the city.

While waiting for our hotel room to be ready we purchased a Boston Go Card which included a 2 day pass for the City View Trolley. It was windy and cold outside but the trolley was nice and warm, and the driver kept things interesting. We learned a lot about the city history. We hopped off at the aquarium and were very impressed. After that we walked over to the Quincy Market and enjoyed lobster rolls. We took the trolley back to near our hotel. This was a much better way to spend the 4 hr wait for our hotel room to be ready.
