What To Expect
1
Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park
Your North End experience begins at the lifeblood of Boston, the Boston Harbor. Walk through a scenic waterfront park, with views of the harbor, East Boston and the historic wharfs lining Atlantic Ave. We’ll make our way to the heart of the North End, with views of some of the most historic sites and properties in the neighborhood, some dating back to the late 1600s and early 1700s.
2
North End
Delicious food is never far away in the North End. Your guide will introduce you to a small, hidden Italian bakery serving up fresh bread daily. Break bread with your fellow travelers and let the carbs give you the energy to continue your adventure! A proper Italian salumeria is next, and you’ll have a chance to enjoy Italian meats and cheeses at their finest and freshest. Next up, we’ll take in the energy of the North End’s busiest corridor, Hanover Street, where it’s time for a mid-tour break with your guide at a traditional Italian café. Here, if you like, you can purchase and enjoy your choice of a classic cappuccino, espresso or tea or just take a minute off your feet.
3
Old North Church & Historic Site
As you let the caffeine kick in, your guide goes back in time into North End history. Hear stories about some of the most influential events that happened in Boston, including Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride. We make our way to the Old North Church, where we may get to step inside the hallowed walls.

We absolutely loved our food tour of the north end! Our guide Bob was awesome - he was funny, informative, and also made sure we felt comfortable with where we stopped to eat and if we wanted to go inside or stay outside. I'm from Boston and I learned about so many new places (and history) on this tour - highly recommend for a fun activity!

Thanks for your review! One of our favorite things is bringing locals (Bostonians) to an area in the city that they know and showing them things and places they never knew existed. We like to stay away from the tourist destinations because we're locals. And locals know ! Glad you had a fun time with us and we hope to see you on another Urban Adventure!

Awesome experience!! We went as part of my girlfriends birthday weekend and couldn’t have picked a way to spend an afternoon. Bridget was so great and shared lots of insight on the North End and made sure everyone in the group was included. Even with Covid-19 going on we felt safe and were so happy to get to experience Boston with some normalcy. Would recommend to anyone and everyone! Every stop along the tour had something amazing to try and so much history behind it. If you’re someone who likes food and likes a little bit of history to go along with it I would definitely take this tour!

Absolutely 100% the best tour I have ever been on. Shout out to Sully for really knowing his city! He was so friendly, easy going and kind. He took us all over the North End and made us realize we liked banana peppers on our spitzer!!! We ate at Al Dente, the restaurant he recommended and it was amazing. Sully is the best and so adorable! He even gave us places to eat in Beacon Hill and Back Bay! Sully made us fall in love with Boston!!! The Spite House was so cool and he even told us about Charleston, the USS Constitution and more. He was a wealth of knowledge! Thank you Sully and Urban Adventure Boston! WE HAD THE MOST AMAZING TRIP BECAUSE OF YOU!!!
