What To Expect
1
Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park
Your North End experience begins at the lifeblood of Boston, the Boston Harbor. Walk through a scenic waterfront park, with views of the harbor, East Boston and the historic wharfs lining Atlantic Ave. We’ll make our way to the heart of the North End, with views of some of the most historic sites and properties in the neighborhood, some dating back to the late 1600s and early 1700s.
2
North End
Delicious food is never far away in the North End. Your guide will introduce you to a small, hidden Italian bakery serving up fresh bread daily. Break bread with your fellow travelers and let the carbs give you the energy to continue your adventure! A proper Italian salumeria is next, and you’ll have a chance to enjoy Italian meats and cheeses at their finest and freshest. Next up, we’ll take in the energy of the North End’s busiest corridor, Hanover Street, where it’s time for a mid-tour break with your guide at a traditional Italian café. Here, if you like, you can purchase and enjoy your choice of a classic cappuccino, espresso or tea or just take a minute off your feet.
3
Old North Church & Historic Site
As you let the caffeine kick in, your guide goes back in time into North End history. Hear stories about some of the most influential events that happened in Boston, including Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride. We make our way to the Old North Church, where we may get to step inside the hallowed walls.

We had a great time. The weather was perfect, our guide was terrific! The food was excellent. And of course the mini history lesson was very insightful. I highly recommend this tour. I am from the state of Massachusetts and yet, I had no idea about most of what we toured!

My daughter and I took the food tour on Labor's Day from Portland OR. We were so lucky to have Conner Bourgoin as our tour guide. He was dedicated himself in the tour, not only took us to visit 5 lovely places to enjoy the unique food, but also told the stories with histories or legends. We enjoyed the tour so much and we won't hesitate to recommend our friends whoever goes to Boston. We rarely did that. We will tell them to pick Conner as the tour guide when registering the tour! On top of the tour he guided, Conner did send quite a few attractions to us afterwards for our 5 day staying in Boston. Conner did a great job and made us to love Boston immediately. We will be back!

Like we always say at Urban Adventures - "Locals Know." Conner is an expert on the North End and I am glad that he was able to share his enthusiasm and knowledge about the food and the area with you. Come back and see us again.

I had this tour with Ellie Rose as our guide. She is such a charming and lovely lady who is also very knowledgable! It was my first time doing this kind of tour so I actually didn't expect much more than casual sightseeing and probably tasting foods I don't usually buy, but it turned out to be better than my expectation. The walking wasn't too long and we had several stops where we sat down and eat/drink. The food was good (as I was expecting an Italian food to be) but listening to Ellie telling stories while eating made the food more delicious. I wish though that there could be more stops where we tried more kinds of foods and also a better coordination with cafes/restaurants would make the tour flow smoother. With that said though, the overall experience was great and those suggestions were just minimal things that came into my mind to make the tour better. I would recommend this tour to my friends when they come to Boston, especially with Ellie!

The North End is a very special part of Boston. And Ellie is an incredible tour guide. Glad that we were able to exceed your expectations in both areas! Thank you for your review!
