Join the Sons and Daughters of Liberty and relive the night of December 16, 1773. The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum is an interactive, guided experience where you will be a part of the single most important event leading up to the American Revolution. Board 18th-century replica sailing ships brig Beaver and Eleanor, and join the countrymen in tossing the tea into the sea! View the only known surviving tea chest from that fateful night, the Robinson Tea Chest. Transport back in time while viewing the multi-sensory film "Let it Begin Here", where you will be a part of Paul Revere's midnight ride and be placed into the battle where the "Shot heard 'round the world" was fired. Complete your experience with a stop in Abigail's Tea Room at the end of your tour to enjoy some tea time. MUSEUM CLOSED ON THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS DAY

At the last minute, we decided to go to the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum on our first day in Boston. We hadn't made a reservation, and by the time we got over there, they were sold out for the day. That was disappointing, but they have a wait list for each tour. We were able to get on the 2nd to last one of the day and really enjoyed ourselves. We didn't realize that this museum is not self-guided, but this made it more fun! Each person is given a card with a historical person on it and the roll they played during the Tea Party. The guides stay in character and walk you through the museum and ships. There is a bit of "Harry Potter" type magic at times, but nothing scary. Overall, the tour is probably geared a bit more towards kids, but these kids at heart had a good time too.

Really interesting but no translation at all! So it’s boring for kids who don’t speak English well. Nice people. Good stories.
