Overview

Enjoy a spectacular day in the White Mountains of New Hampshire viewing the magnificent fall foliage. Your day will begin with front door hotel pick up service and be brought 2.5 hours north to White Mountains New Hampshire. From here, we will travel through the world renowned Kancamagus Highway. You'll enjoy several stops along this route for pictures and learn mountain history. You'll enjoy a stop in the mountain town of North Conway for lunch and shopping. After lunch we will depart and take a scenic tour on route 302 to for pictures of Mountain Washington in the background then continue on the tour to view where Old Man on the Mountain was perched. Finally returning to Boston and direct hotel drop-off.

This tour is conducted in the White Mountains. Regular, luxury restrooms are sometimes not available or easily accessible. If you cannot use a Mountain restroom (hole in the ground, toilet over it) it might be best to self-regulate fluid intakes. We do the best in providing restroom breaks every hour however, there may be times when it is not possible. Thanks!

The most spectacular byway in the whole country to view fall foliage and New England Excursions travels it on its fall foliage tour.

Boston

Enjoy a day of sightseeing from Boston to the Kancamagus byway on this spectacular fall foliage tour. Your excursion will include small walks in the woods to view waterfalls and foliage colors. Lunch and shopping is roughly 1.5 hours in length in a beautiful mountain town of North Conway. From here, we will venture further into the White Mountains with a final stop at the Omni Mount Washington Hotel to view snow capped mountains and learn hotel history.

Was in Boston for the marathon which this year was in October and leaf changing season instead of April. Just randomly selected a tour from the internet and luckily found Matt and New England Excursions. Matt was very knowledgeable of the White Mountains and spends his free time hiking and camping there. He knew lots of great spots to stop. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the area was evident and made for a great tour. Transportation was in a comfortable van and Matt genuinely wanted to make sure we all enjoyed the tour.

Tour was amazing. Beautiful views and Matt stopped at several gorgeous spots. We hit a peak leaf peep day. Only complaint, and suggestion, is to not share personal opinions, complaints, and troubles. Keep that to yourself. Not really interested in hearing it. Kinda spoiled the vibe. Also, could not hear questions that were asked by other passengers. Only heard the answers. Would’ve been nice to have heard the question repeated. Also, remove the Omni golf resort as part of the tour since your relationship with them has been severed. Heard the entire story, of course.

Hi Lise, Thanks for the review and I’m glad you enjoyed your day. Yes, I’ll admit conversations get personal and people like to share their personal opinions. That’s what people enjoy about this tour. We have the ability to talk openly about most topics. If it gets too loose I tighten it up. On this particular day, the conversation in mention lasted about 3 minutes. In addition, guest want to know why the relationship with Omni Mount Washington was cut. I will not lie to anyone or give a short answer. I apologize if my being truthful offends people, but I will not change that, or who I am for anyone. Hope to see you on another tour next summer.
