Overview

Enjoy a spectacular day in the White Mountains of New Hampshire viewing the magnificent fall foliage. Your day will begin with front door hotel pick up service and be brought 2.5 hours north to White Mountains New Hampshire. From here, we will travel through the world renowned Kancamagus Highway. You'll enjoy several stops along this route for pictures and learn mountain history. You'll enjoy a stop in the mountain town of North Conway for lunch and shopping. After lunch we will depart and take a scenic tour on route 302 to for pictures of Mountain Washington in the background then continue on the tour to view where Old Man on the Mountain was perched. Finally returning to Boston and direct hotel drop-off.

This tour is conducted in the White Mountains. Regular, luxury restrooms are sometimes not available or easily accessible. If you cannot use a Mountain restroom (hole in the ground, toilet over it) it might be best to self-regulate fluid intakes. We do the best in providing restroom breaks every hour however, there may be times when it is not possible. Thanks!

The most spectacular byway in the whole country to view fall foliage and New England Excursions travels it on its fall foliage tour.

Boston

Enjoy a day of sightseeing from Boston to the Kancamagus byway on this spectacular fall foliage tour. Your excursion will include small walks in the woods to view waterfalls and foliage colors. Lunch and shopping is roughly 1.5 hours in length in a beautiful mountain town of North Conway. From here, we will venture further into the White Mountains with a final stop at the Omni Mount Washington Hotel to view snow capped mountains and learn hotel history.

My husband and I had a bucket list of seeing the New England Fall foliage, and this tour did not disappoint! Matt our tour guide was amazing! He shared his knowledge of the "Kanc" and his experience and good humor with the group. Small tour size was perfect. It was a nice mix of ages from mid 20's to a couple celebrating their 62nd anniversary and folks from UK, Norway , Australia and USA. Hitting peak color can be tricky, but we were so lucky to have the best color for our October 2 tour. The road trip started with hotel pick up, and we had numerous stops along the way, for coffee and potty stops, (LOL. all appreciated.) N. Conway was our lunch stop and I recommend you grab a sandwich at the Met , who seem to have their act together. and then go across the street for hard cider or local brew at Horsefeathers, and a visit to Zebs General store , next door to them. Fun! The next part of this tour had the most spectacular color and scenery and a stop at the magnificent Omni Mt Washington resort. What a view! We want to thank Matt for a wonderful day of leaf peeping we will never forget! Bucket list checked!

I did two foliage tours on back-to-back days, similar price. (They went to different areas.) Foliage aside, this tour was so much better than the other one. Things I can compare: This tour is much more personal. This is a small van, about 10 people on the tour. Matt (driver/owner) made sure to know all of our names and is exceptionally knowledgeable. The other tour was a coach, 38 people, and - though I liked the driver- it wasn't nearly as personal (or quite this good). The van itself is comfortable (and you have the option to charge your phone). The other tour was a coach, uncomfortable seats, nowhere to charge. This route goes through the Kancamagus Highway, which is about as good as you can hope. (The other tour was mostly north central Massachusetts and southwest New Hampshire.) Last thing I can say is that Matt was punctual. You certainly get your money's worth on this tour. I highly recommend it.
