Saw TONS of Whales. Collin, our Naturalist, was phenomenal. The boat was really nice and got us out to the whales pretty quick.

Although the boat was nice enough, and the whales were spectacular, the experience bordered on Hellish. The crew admonished us repeatedly before we left about keeping our masks on at all times and social distance. No problem for us whatsoever. But, once the boat was underway - masks were off everywhere. People jammed together to see the whales. Even if you tried to keep your distance from them, they invaded your space like it or not. On the way back from the watch there was a giant thunderstorm on the horizon. An announcement was made for everyone to get inside for safety. A group of about 30 people thought it was a better idea to stay outside and take selfies with lightning. The crew did nothing about that until it was dangerously close to the storm. There was not enough safe, socially distanced seating for everyone inside the boat so people ignored it all together and crammed into any space they could find. Masks immediately came off, somebody started playing loud rap music on their phone and people were screaming every time the boat hit a small wave. The crew did not once ask people to separate or put their masks back on. I felt like we were trapped in a floating Petri dish. Sanitation was poor when we got on the boat but I thought we will follow the rules and be safe. I am not sure that helped. Avoid this boat like the plague- or plague spreader that it can be. I would go again when COVID is over but, this trip isn’t helping that happen anytime soon.

Hi MARGARET A and thanks for your review. We're so sorry to hear that your experience on the whale watch was not what you hoped it would be. As always, our top priority is the safety of our passengers and crew and in response to COVID-19 we implemented many safety measures and requirements onboard. Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] to discuss further and see what we can do to make your disappointment up to you.
