Excellent guide Jacob was good at reading needs of his group, took us to Homer Lake, we portaged to Axe lake on the BWCA and back. Taught us how to easily lift canoe for portage, how to safely put it down, enter and exit the canoe with several opportunities to practice all of the above, as well as paddle handling and strokes. Good explanations of flaura and fauna he had equally sure it is attention with all group members. He taught us some of the rules of the road, campsites, fires, gathering wood, considering campsites. It was a good day outing, as well as a primer for a future boundary waters camping trip. Highly recommended and I would do it again

Guide was super helpful and friendly we got caught up in some pretty rough wind but he helped us through and we had a really good time. A great way to see the deeper parts of the state.
