My Husband is a big Bourbon fan and I was not impressed with this tour. I feel that for the price it was not worth it. The first two stops Woodford Reserve and Bullet were a great tasting experience. The last stop on our tour was at Buffalo Trace and we were given an hour to eat... turns out the restaurant was closed, there was no bar and the gift shop was out of all bourbon bottles. We ended up spending an hour walking around the gift shop. I feel that with spending 250 a person on a tour this is something that could have easily been avoided with a little research on the tour companies end. Not to mention that the tour at buffalo trace is a free tour.... So I really paid for the experience and our time spent there. Unfortunately due to the lack of planning I would not recommend of book this tour again.

Remind you that customers choose the itinerary according to their preferences (the tour is personalized). You declined several tours that included Makers Mark and finally chose your own. Neither in the tour information nor during our conversations did we suggest you have lunch at Buffalo Trace or go to the Buffalo Trace bar (they didn't have one). Lunch was provided by the tour guide at a restaurant near Buffalo Trace. Important: You will never find Pappy Van Winkle in Buffalo Trace, there are specific liquor stores where you'll find those bottles. If your husband is a Bourbon fan, he will know that Buffalo Trace sells a different special bottle of bourbon every day, not all brands will be available at once. On the same day as your tour, there was another review with five stars because they visited Makers Mark, Bardstown Bourbon, and Buffalo Trace Distillery. Finally, tours are chosen by the client!

We had friends flying into town for a visit. What better way to show them Kentucky’s hospitality than to take them on a Bourbon tour. I looked on so many sites and it seemed like everything was booked. I somehow stumbled across this site and to my surprise, they had availability. They text me within 2 days to inquire which area and distilleries wound be my first choice. Then they arranged a great tour of 3 distilleries including Bardstown, Prohibitions, and Heaven Hill while a lunch stop was at Jim Beam. Unfortunately the lunch stop was 3:30pm so i knew we would be hungry way before that. So we arranged boxed lunches and brought those with us. The driver O’Neil was prompt. He simply drove us and checked us in. He knew nothing whatsoever about bourbon or conversation, but that was fine. He kept us on time. Our first stop was Bardstown Distillery and that was by far my favorite. It’s modern and beautiful. They had coffee and water we could help ourselves to. We got to do a tasting class in a room set up as such with big floor to ceiling windows overlooking the property. They walked us into seeing the vats. I learned a ton and afterwards, each person got a glass with their name. Professional, friendly and start the bourbon trail off right. The next was a small mom and pop distillery Prohibition. It had a completely different feel. Still lovely. Heaven Hill was a self taste. It’s a beautiful facility. Impressive indeed. After we finished we were dropped off at our starting point. I really thought it was worth every bit of the cost. It was under $2000 for 8 people plus you tip your driver. They provided the impossible on a sold out bourbon tour. You can trust it.
