Branson Dinosaur Museum
Take your vacation back inĀ time andĀ see over 45-life-sized dinosaur replicas. You'll learn about dinosaurs on a self-guided tour in a friendly environment. This museum brings dinosaurs up-close-and-personal…from the small, four-winged microrapter; a dinosaur that measured only one-foot-tall, and was theĀ most abundant of non-bird dinosaurs…to everyone’s favorite, the enormous tyrannosaurus rex, fondly referred to as T Rex; a beast with a massive skull, balanced by a long, heavy tail. These carefully constructed creatures are exquisitely detailed.Ā That detail is courtesy of talented paleo-artists who used actual dinosaur bones to mold theseĀ incredible bodies. SpendĀ as much time as you wish with your prehistoric friends; tours of the Branson Dinosaur Museum are self-guided! Each dinosaur is displayed with descriptive details to help answer your questions about their habits, the definition of their name, and more; it’s the perfect opportunity to learn how different dinosaursĀ are in many ways from today’s animals, yet how remarkably similar they are also. Discover plant-eating dinosaurs – herbivores, and meat-eating animals – carnivores; this is just a small ā€˜taste’ of what your family can learn at the Branson Dinosaur Museum! There are also dinosaur documentary films that you can watch in the small, intimate movie room. #BransonDinosaur #DinosRus #BransonMO #Dinosaurs ā€œBranson Dinosaur Museumā€ is full of them!

This is the best dinosaur museum for little kids. I’ve taken my son when he was 2 and then again now that he is 4. He loves it! The dinosaurs are huge! We walked through the tour 3 times and I felt like we saw something different each time. My daughter is 16 months and she liked seeing the dinosaurs too. The staff is very friendly and the admission is worth every penny! The restrooms were very clean! There is a fossil hunt to complete too and I think the adults had more fun trying to find them all hidden throughout the museum than the kids did. I would definitely recommend and we will be returning!

Tripadvisor charged my Credit Card, sent a ticket Voucher, and when I showed up to use my voucher the place is CLOSED!!!!! I have requested a REFUND, and Tripadvisor told me that since I didn't cancel 24 hours in advance I get NO REFUND!!! Tripadvisor is running a SCAM!!!! How can I use a ticket voucher that I PAID for when the place is closed??? I'll NEVER book anything with Tripadvisor again I booked and PAID for 3 events and ALL 3 are closed, I just wasted my money!!!

Unless they drop the prices on this place, I don't see them staying open too much longer. Which sucks because the actual dinosaurs on the inside are pretty neat! They're huge & fun to take pictures of/with. But the location isn't the greatest so it's easy to miss even being on the main strip! We pulled up & there was a wire hanging down across the main sign on the building. The building is severely outdated & a little sketchy looking. We went in & were greeted, but you could tell the girl was just spouting off something she has said 5 million times before & there was no real interaction. The dinosaurs are all so crammed together & the exhibits are just some fake leaves scattered around their feet. There was a golden fossil hunt, which are just fossil plaques mounted in plain view at some of the dinosaurs. If you found all ten & wrote them down, you get 10% off an item from the gift shop. We found all ten, but did not even stop to look in the gift shop. It took us less than ten minutes to walk all the way through & find all ten. We even back-tracked some. It's dark throughout & completely silent so we felt like we couldn't even really talk freely. There was very quiet music of Jurassic Park played in the the gift shop, but the rest of the museum felt so dead (no pun intended). If they spent half the time finding ways to be interactive or exciting as they do printing off 5 thousand paper signs saying not to touch the dinosaurs, it would have the potential to be a LOT better. For the price you pay to get in, they should really up their part.
