  • The Brooklyn Navy Yard can be reached by bus, on foot, by bicycle, and via the NYC public ferry system. The NYC ferries and city buses are accessible to people who use wheelchairs and strollers. Take the Astoria line ferry from East 34th Street or Pier 11/Wall Street in Manhattan to the Brooklyn Navy Yard ferry stop. Please plan your trip to the Yard in advance to ensure an early arrival.

The tour was great! Our tour guide Andrew was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and informative. Lots of interesting information about the history of the Brooklyn Navy Yard and about it’s current use. We highly recommend the tour.

Doug was our tour guide and he was incredibly knowledgable and patient with our mixed group of around a dozen people. He took time to answer questions and gave detailed look at both the history of the yard, but also it's future. I learned a lot about the history of the area and the pivotal role in played during WW1.
