My wife and I took a trip to visit Portland for the first time and were overwhelmed by the million and one great food options around the city. So we decided to let the experts guide us and we booked a food tour! Our guide, Sherri, was amazing and took us to some really amazing spots on her Mississippi Avenue brunch tour. We learned a bit of history about each place, the city, and the food. It was an eclectic (in a great way) mix of restaurants and bars that gave us a wide sampling of some of what Portland has to offer. We’re so glad we did it and definitely want to check the other tours next time we’re able to make it back to Portland!

Last week I had the delight of taking Portland by Mouth’s newest tour “Brunch on Mississippi”. It was a hit! I took three family members from out of state and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The tour started at the world class patisserie JinJu where we sampled some delectable treats and then we explored North Mississippi with five more stops. Portland by Mouth says no one will leave hungry and you had best take them at their word. Our guide, Sherri, was engaging and quite knowledgeable, sharing backstories on the neighborhood and on the places we visited. It was a great way to introduce my family to a slice of Portland. And during the pandemic Portland by Mouth is only offering private tours for families or groups of friends. So, we were completely comfortable in our morning’s explorations.
