ā€™ve been to Busch gardens before on several occasions and itā€™s always been one of my favorite theme parks ever. HOWEVER! After covid things have changed drastically. After visiting this past Saturday I donā€™t think Iā€™ll be returning for a very long time. Wait times for the rides are ALL OVER 2 HOURS in the hot sun. We purchased refillable souvenir cups and it wasnā€™t worth it because everywhere you went to refill them was either a 45 minute wait just to get soda or you had free standing machines with NO ICE and FLAT HOT soda. We spent the entire day at the park and didnā€™t even eat because of how miserably long it would take for less than 5 people to be attended. Lines for food and drinks seemed very short but would take such a long time. Not to mention that every time the lines at the rides seemed to be getting too long and reaching capacity the ride would have ā€œtechnical difficultiesā€ during which my friends and I would stay in line regardless. Only to see the employees stand around for 15 mins (not fixing anything) and magically it would be up and running again. This happened to us 3 times on 3 different rides. The employees working the rides are very slow and take their sweet time between ride groups which in turn slows the lines down even more. Typically itā€™s less than 3 minutes for people to get on the ride before itā€™s blasting off but at Busch gardens it would easily take over 5 minutes because of how slow they were checking the seatbelts. I feel that overall thereā€™s a huge lack of management and training. It seems that all old employees were fired with the pandemic and everybody working there is new and lost. OVERALL we had a TERRIBLE experience and wonā€™t recommend this park to anybody, especially if you had kiddos with you. Really hoping the service goes back to how it used to be because itā€™s such a shame that such an amazing park has become what it is today.

Visited 7/24/21 Felt I got a great deal on the season pass for remainder of year for unlimited visits to Busch & Adventure Island. HOWEVER, did not know at the time of payment it cost $25 to park for EACH of the parks!! I paid $300 for 2 people (incl parking). Got there at 10 am. Went directly to the Cheeta ride. No signs stating anything about bags--we had small backpacks. Told we had to rent a locker for 2hrs $2 minimum. After we stood in line for almost 2 hrs & with maybe another 30 min to go, our legs/feet hurt so bad from standing & we needed a restroom. We were so disappointed & fed up at that point we left. We'd been there 3 hours & had absolutely nothing to show for it. The park is filthy. You'd think that with being closed for a year they'd clean the cobwebs and nasty fans. Even the parking lot was full of pot holes. We only saw 1 hand sanitizing station. Toilet stalls so small anyone over "skinny" would have trouble getting in. Touting a great animal park is a joke. Two cheetas, 2 chimps & gators. Bottled water $3.68; sodas +$4. There's more snack shops/gift shops than points of interest. I would not recommend spending money on these places.

This is a warning to all you travelers out there. We live two hours away and have the Fun Card that allows us to go all year long. We love Busch Gardens as we enjoy all the thrill rides they have along with the animals. We visited the park on July 23, 2021. We had been watching the wait times all week before we went. They were long so we purchased the quick que unlimited. Thank goodness we did, as the lines were long and moved slow mostly everywhere due to lack of staffing and coasters being used. *Montu coaster was only using 1 train. I canā€™t even explain why this would be. You can only imagine the SLOW line this created with no pre loading of other trains. *Cheetah Hunt was not loading from the two stations they had. They were only using 1. This created 2-3 hours waits for people who did not have the quick que. *Tigris coaster down all day. *Cobra Curse going down throughout most of the day. *Food Lines were ridiculously long. Just not enough people cooking and serving people. My advice to all you travelers going to Busch Gardens right now. I know it already costs a lot to go to the park, but if you do not buy the quick que pass and you want to enjoy all the rides, you wonā€™t be able too. Buy it if you can somehow swing it. Your experience will be memorable instead of disappointing. We went on everything multiple times thanks to the quick que pass. To Busch Gardensā€”Shame on you for opening your park to full capacity when you canā€™t properly staff the park to accommodate your paying guests. You owe that that to them, which you are failing to provide. I actually felt bad for all the out of town guests that spent big $ā€™s to go to your park and wait in long lines that could have been avoided. You are better then this. Management running the park right now either doesnā€™t care or doesnā€™t have a clue. You need to figure it out!
