Visiting BG in Tampa was much better than our spring break Williamsburg BG experience in regards to the parks. We do have HUGE hiccup with our ticket purchase with the Florida parks owned by Sea World/BG but when you push aside the fact that they currently owe us over $400 and we are pending a refund through an appeals process thatā€™s taking forever bc we were grossly overcharged, the park itself was fun! I will say if I had younger kids I would be disappointed at the lack of open areas for the younger ones but the roller coasters were fun for our teens and they had a blast. In regards to food- the food is mediocre and they donā€™t have many options throughout the park but we didnā€™t go for the food and learned early on the all day dining is a rip off. The other big negative is that they donā€™t have people working at the photo areas so you have to remember what time you rode on every ride to get your pictures at the end. Aside from that the park is fun!

I go to Busch Gardens every summer, this is by far the worst experience. This is a horrible time to come, they are not prepared to reopen. They need to close down and come up with a better plan. There is only one food place open in the whole park, and lines are insanely long. Donā€™t get the all day dining, not worth it! All of the snack and water stands in the park are not open. Many of the animal attractions are closed. You literally have to go on a hunt to find water- they obviously do not care about guest safety. They say they care about COVID protection but every single hand sanitizer station in the park is empty. If you have kids, they have all of the kids play areas closed besides the small water pad. Overall awful experience. Universal and Disney have handled this reopening FAR better. Busch Gardens will not be seeing me again anytime soon!

First of all, my suggestion is NOT to go to any type of amusement park, etc. on a busy holiday weekend (or any weekend) and expect a wonderful experience. Not gonna happen... With that, during the third week in April, my family, which includes two high school aged daughters, went to Tampa for our Spring Break. On a Thursday, we visited Busch Gardens and had a PERFECT roller-coaster theme park experience, and I mean we had a FANTASTIC day! ALL of the coasters were open - all day - except for brief safety checks. Although rain threatened in the afternoon, there was no lightening and all rides stayed open. Given the very low crowd size that time year and day of week, there were adequate concessions available. Our meal at the Smokehouse was reasonably priced and quite satisfying. We rode EVERY SINGLE COASTER that day (some twice,) and we loved every one of them! We made lasting memories with our teens in a clean, safe and comfortable environment. Be SMART - plan your visit when crowds are lower and you won't set yourself up for self-inflicted misery. And thank you Busch Gardens, keep up the good work!
