We came to Busch Gardens for my son 19th bday weekend. So much to do. So much to see.. His two friends came with us they have never been. They liked the park just as much as I do. The fireworks at the end of the night was a great close to a Great day.

Parking was fine. No problem finding a tram. Got in the park fine, but when asking if we could upgrade to quick-que, the lady acted like she couldnā€™t be bothered. We found another station where the lady there was happy to do it and we were glad we did. We only stood in line for one ride. We did almost all the rides and had a great time, but there were four serious downsides. 1) The signage sucks and is confusing! We got turned around so many times and wandered around in the heat way too long. Even if you found staff to help, they didnā€™t give very good directions either. Thankfully when we were trying to leave, we found a park employee that was leaving she told us to just follow her. 2) No paper maps. 3). The food choices were heavy BBQ or chicken strips and waffle fries. You waited forever in line for food and then struggled to find a place to sit. 4) We loved all the rides but Tigris. That ride does not feel safe at all. It isnā€™t that you go upside down but you arenā€™t going that fast when you do and you can literally feel yourself slipping against the flimsy harness. I and my companion, both felt the need to press our knees into the ride to stop the slipping. I love roller coasters and ride them all, but I would never ride that one again. Ever.

My family of 5 felt completely scammed today. It took an hour to park and 30 minutes to get on the tram and over to BG. Once there, we thought weā€™d upgrade our ticket to the quick queue, however, doing so was an extra $160 a person! When I asked why, the boy stated that the price changes each day depending on how busy the park is. Ok, no thanks. We had already bought the all day dining, so we stop for lunch. We waited in line an hour for some chicken strips and waffle fries, only to find nowhere to sit. Then, we go get in line for Cheetah Run. 1st the ride breaks down so thatā€™s an extra 30 minutes, then as we are about to get on, they close all rides due to lightening in the area. We waited 3 hours for one ride and never got on. We leave that ride and walk around another 2 hours waiting for rides to re-open, itā€™s sunny outside, no thunder no rain but they never opened the rides. Dinner? Nope- only one restaurant open and no where to sit. The shops were open though- they want your money! When we went to ask for a refund, they only offered a rain check. I explained that our plane leaves the next day and weā€™d never use the ticket. ā€œNo refunds. Look at your ticket.ā€ Also, the park is run down and dirty. You will see quickly that you are not at Disney or even Universal for that matter. I will never be back.
