We were really looking forward to our visit to Busch Gardens with the lure of numerous thrill rides. Pre-paid trip from UK including Quick Queue at great expense. Took an Uber from Universal Studios which cost around $80 each way. The park has a few good rides but some of the big ones werenā€™t open including Falcons Fury and Cheetah Hunt which was extremely disappointing. The Skyline was also closed. Donā€™t bother with the Quick Queue as park staff not trained in monitoring the lines so the queues merge without any supervision. Rides closed at around 15:00 due to storms and didnā€™t reopen. No inside rides so the park cones to a complete stand still. Food offerings poor - my burger and fries served at the Dragonā€™s Grill were cold! Generally this is a poorly run out-dated theme park that feels very neglected and tired. If you are staying at Universal or Disney I suggest that you donā€™t bother with this theme park as it doesnā€™t come close to anything in Orlando. Underwhelming and not worth the money!

We sincerely regret to read about this visit and thank you for taking the time to reach out. We make every effort to let our guests know when our attractions will be down for maintenance by listing this information on our website, front gate, ticket windows and guest relations. Please be advised, our Quick Queue lines do remain separate from our standard queue lines from the beginning of our queue through loading onto the attraction. We apologize for any disappointment in our food selections at Dragon Fire Grill and have forwarded your feedback on to our culinary leadership team. Thank you again for providing this feedback. -CL

It's definitely the poor relation of all the big parks and you get that straight away from the entrance. If you've already been doing Disney/Universal then your biggest shock is to come straight after you've paid and head towards the car park........NOBODY PARKS YOU!!!! I've got to find my own space in Florida in August....? There's also no restrooms in the parking area which, if you've driven from Orlando, makes you up the pace to the entrance (we beat the tram on foot and it was loading as we passed it!). Once in the park the rides look decent and the animals are easy to view and appear well looked after the problem is that, as with SeaWorld who are in the same group, these guys are nervous. I'm guessing there's been an 'incident' and legal action because, as soon as there's a cloud in the sky, the rides close for 'weather'.We queued for over 30 mins for 3 coasters during our visit only to hear the announcement it was closing due to weather. On one occasion I was actually applying factor 50 as I was burning in the heat!! If there's likely to be a cloud in the sky during your visit don't bother.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about this visit. Please be advised, our restrooms in the parking lot are located within our Kennel building to the left of the tram stop. We certainly apologize for any impact inclement weather had on this visit. Our weather policies are for the safety and security of all our guests and our attractions resume operation as soon as it is safe to do so. Thank you again for taking the time to comment on this experience. -CL

Never been and was looking forward to it, it has some highlights for sure, Iron Gwazi was fantastic as were some of the other rides, they are more of a real thrill ride over any Disney and even Universal, real roller coasters, special mention has to go to the ice Dancing show which was awesome. There are some inherent issues when compared to say Universal Studios, everything is outside, so there is very little time spent out of the direct sun, there are no indoor rides, of course you can't build the likes of Iron Gwazi indoors, so this isn't a complaint, I am pointing it out as folks read the review to get the full picture, outdoor rides meant we lost 2 1/2 hours of running due to storms which closed the rides, as there are no indoor alternatives what do you do !! they even stopped running the tram to the car park, WHY !!! Now onto the rides, 2 of the big 9 were not available all day and and 3rd one only worked for an hour before the storms moved in, this meant for a poor experience and bigger queues I suspect at the open rides, this isn't good enough. , Lastly, it is a massive rip off, $4.50 for a bottle of water is a rip off, its Florida we need to drink water, we went to chick-fil-a for lunch, they only sell a few items, but what shocked me was the price, I know it is a theme park and expect to pay a little more, but lets compares, I paid $71.48 for a family meal that would cost me $30.57 in a real chick-fil-a store, this markup disgusts me. I will never go back

We regret to read about your experience at Busch Gardens Tampa. We appreciate the feedback regarding our attractions. Whenever there is lightning within 8 miles of the park, all major attractions close for the safety of our guest and ambassadors. If lightning is within 5 miles all outdoor attractions, including childrenā€™s rides and the tram, close for the safety of our guest and ambassadors. Additionally, we regret to read about any disappointment about our prices at Chick-Fil-A. We have forwarded your feedback to our management team for further internal review. -MK
