This was our first visit. Enjoyed the butterfly release and informative talk. So many different types of butterflies, plus birds. All free-flight. One took a rest on my hand! Not too hot or muggy inside.

What a bargain. The museum is free and there are a lot of exhibits to keep you busy and fill you with all kinds of information. I was very impressed with the museum. The butterfly area has an extra charge but it is a beautiful garden area with waterfalls and quite a variety of colorful butterflies flying around you. I was a little disappointed in the number of butterflies thus only a 4. There was also a crocodile area that also had an extra charge which I did not visit. Highly recommend a visit

Hi Jonathan O, Thanks so much for the review and compliments. Thanks for also pointing out most of the Florida Museum exhibits are free. I’m not sure what the weather was like the day of your visit, but there is always more butterfly activity when it is sunny and 65 degrees or warmer. We hope you’ll visit again if you have an opportunity. Kind regards, Paul R.

So glad I went here. Very relaxing environmen where I could stay for hours on end. Was a cloudy day as well, which made it even better as there were less other guests. Filled with beautiful butterflies and African finches.
