Coastal Calm Bay Fishing is the perfect experience for leisure fishing enthusiasts and families who want to capture the excitement of fishing with their young children! Land always remains in site, though weather permitting there is a chance to get adventurous and head 3 miles offshore. This 3.5-hour eco-fishing excursion targets redfish, snook, sheepshead, mangrove snapper, ladyfish, trout and pompano. Your Captains pride themselves on finding the best location to maximize your experience so you get “hooked” and come back year after year!

Went on the Calm Bay Fishing excursion yesterday with my wife. This was our first experience with a fishing charter company. We meet at the dock beside Tin City in Naples at 8am and soon boarded the vessel Naples Explorer and meet our crew Captain Josh and First Mate Dylan. There were 10 people who had signed up for the charter. We went out about two miles in the gulf, over a wreck that Capt. Josh said would be a good spot for fish. My wife and I where at the back of the boat and we fished for a little over 2hrs. We enjoyed the experience very much! Capt Josh and First Mate Dylan where very helpful, informative and polite. We both caught fish and got 2 mangrove snappers that we were able to keep. The bait they used was shirmp. That being said, we learned quickly that you need to check you hook every 3 to 5 mins, because the shrimp might get eaten without feeling a bite. Because your leaving your line on the bottom, if the shrimp is gone, you have an empty hook sitting at the bottom. We caught more fish because we checked our hooks frequently and added bait. Remember, you paid for the bait, use it! Afterwards, Capt. Josh filleted our catch and we cooked it that night and it was great. This charter is great for first timers or people with children.
