Heron Hill Tasting Room on Canandaigua Lake

The tasting room on the hill is the sister location of the famous Keuka winery. Enjoy an educational tasting in the renovated Century Barn overlooking the proprietors “Ingle” vineyard.

My husband and I booked the afternoon wine tour in Canandaigua last minute before a quick trip to the Finger Lakes. We were picked up at our hotel by Deb, our awesome driver. We picked up two additional couples and headed out to the first of four wineries on our itinerary. We visited Heron Hill, Hazlitt Red Cat, Inspire Moore, and Arbor Mill. We spent the perfect amount of time at each location, and had a great afternoon! Each of the wineries offered something different, and in total, we tried about 23 different wines. For this reason, we were grateful to have a driver! This was the perfect way to spend an afternoon exploring all that Canandaigua has to offer.

We took about 30 guests on a tour from Crush, it was customized for us and the time we had allotted - plus we had a few special requests that they were happy to accommodate. Our drivers Gary & Deb were knowledgeable and made us feel like insiders at each stop. Russell helped us coordinate and stayed in communication throughout to ensure we had a fantastic experience. We did - and we hope to do it again real soon! :)

My husband and I went on the half day Canandaigua tour. My husband doesn’t really drink wine but even he had a great time. By the end of the tour he could identify the types of wines he does like. The driver was timely and very polite and shared some knowledge about the area. The 4 wineries we visited on our tour were great! No snooty wine snobs to be seen. We loved that Arbor Hill had beer and brats, it was a good way to fuel up before too many samples. Our guide arranged so that our food came out after our sampling, which was greatly appreciated. Hazlitt’s Red Cat was just an awesome, laid back type of place. We could have stayed there all day. This is definitely the best way to enjoy the wine trail. In the future, we plan on visiting some of the other finger lakes. We will definitely make a Crush tours a part of our vacation.
