This place is amazing. They walked thru everything with tips and suggestion along the way. We went for my daughter's birthday with a group of 8. They even were able to accommodate a time we were all able to go. The smell inside the shop is not overpowering, in fact it is a very clean enjoyable aroma. I would definitely recommend Embers & Apothecary to locals and tourist! One of Chicago's hidden gems.

My boyfriend and I went with a group of friends. So much fun! Making the candle was a great experience with the team helping us along the way. The scents are fabulous. You get to personalize your favorite scents. The place is beautiful, clean, and fun! Perfect date night.

I went on a quiet afternoon with my 8-year-old daughter. We had a blast going through all the individual fragrances, selecting our favorites, and then creating our unique blends for our candles. It was an enjoyable experience, the candles smell fantastic, and look lovely. The owner and her staff are friendly and great with kids. And the space is a beautiful, calming oasis in the Printers Row neighborhood. If I still lived in the area, I'd come back to Embers + Apothecary for a birthday party or pre-bridal event. Honestly, if I lived in the area, I'd probably make regular trips to create candles with unique fragrance profiles you can't find in the stores. On this trip, I made a blend that combined a woodsy, smokey base with fresh ground coffee and a hint of sweet pear. My daughter opted for a delicate and sweet blend in a sparkly rainbow container. There's something for everyone. Go check them out!
