Canyonlands National Park Airplane Tour

Overview
This spectacular Redtail Air Adventures flight will carry you above the fantastic scenery of Canyonlands National Park. Majestic 1000-foot high cliffs rise above the Colorado and Green Rivers, which border it on either side. Serpentine drainage systems are carved into the terrain below the cliffs. Upheaval Dome can be seen at its northern end; the Confluence of the the two rivers form the district’s southernmost point. Then on to the Needles District, the most fanciful and colorful portion of Canyonlands. Pink and white bands can be seen in its many spires and cliffs, and it is the home of some of the most remote and famous arches of canyon country. Difficult to reach by hiking and extremely beautiful, Angel Arch and Druid Arches are the best known. Elephant Arch, Kirk Arch, Wedding Ring Arch and Castle Arch, hidden away in the back country, are also included. Photographic opportunities abound!

It was a great experience seeing the Canyonlands National Park from above in a such quick time. Priceless memories. Our pilot Arthur was pleasant and knowledgeable. Great trip for those who are short with time but still want to see all!

Fantastic experience and great customer service. We had a tour scheduled for 2:30pm but due to high expected winds in the afternoon Redtail reached out asking if we would be able to due the tour earlier as it may have to be cancelled due to weather. We did not want to miss this tour so appreciated the proactive reaching out. We did the Canyonlands flight and it was fantastic. A completely different perspective and got to see things we would otherwise not be a lie to see. Our pilot was great and very knowledgeable.

About 14 years ago I was in the area and could enjoy just a glimpse of Canyonlands, things you could only see from the road. But I imagined that there will be much more and the only way to grasp that was by airplane. Back then I planned to make it happen, should I be in the area again. Due to the pandemic it took a bit longer... Feed forward to the present, and today was the day! I originally planned to take the combo flight of both parks, but it seemed that the minimum number of participants dit not materialize, so I had to fall back on the Canyonlands alone. No regret, we were four passengers and I could take the place beside the pilot and was very impressed by the various landscapes, canyons, arches under the plane. The pilot was very well informed about the various stone types told us a lot of things, including where there were film sets of famous movies.
