Tour runs approximately 3 hours
Please plan to arrive15-20 minutes before tour start time. Tour begins exactly at stated time, entry to buildings are on timed reservations, and group must enter security together, therefore we are unable to accommodate for late arrivals.

What To Expect

U.S. Capitol

The Capitol is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met here for more than two centuries. Begun in 1793, the Capitol has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended, and restored; today, it stands as a monument not only to its builders but also to the American people and their government. Enjoy a reserved docent lead tour of the rotunda, crypt, and old house chambers.

Library of Congress

Experience a guided tour of one of the most beautiful buildings in Washington, DC as you view the main reading room, a portion of Thomas Jefferson's original library, and the Great Hall. Learn about the library's history and current operations, and how you can access the resources within its collection.

Supreme Court

Learn about the history and inner workings of the highest court in the land as you visit the Supreme Court. Your guide will share the the story of the birth of the Supreme Court up to current cases and what they mean. *does not enter the building

Our tour guide was wonderful!! Our time at the library of congress could not have been better. We were disappointed that we couldn’t go in the Supreme Court at all. The capitol part of the tour was terrible!! We were rushed thru everything, and we couldn’t enjoy it all. It was also way to crowded!! Capital part needs to be reassessed! It is awful!!!!

Thanks for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your Library of congress portion with our guide. However we are unable to control how the US Capitol leads their tours. Typically the tour of the Capitol is approximately 45 minutes and covers the Rotunda, Crypt, and the old House Chambers. The US Capitol does draw 21 million visitors on a normal year, so there will often be crowds, however at this moment with the limited entry allowed, it is actually not very crowded compared to normal.

Great tour with a guide who was knowledgeable and clearly loved the capitol and Library of Congress. He also provided great local dining tips. We had an excellent time!
