Join Captain Gary, a born-and-raised Sitkan, for an authentic whale-watching adventure. His local knowledge gives you the best chance to spot humpback whales, sea otters, orcas, puffins, bald eagles, bears, and more—offering a personal, immersive experience you won’t get on larger tours.

Aboard the custom-built 37-foot Morning Glory, designed for Southeast Alaska waters, enjoy large windows, comfortable seating, a heated cabin, and a bathroom on board. Spacious aft and bow decks offer prime spots for viewing and photography as you cruise Sitka Sound, surrounded by volcanic coastlines, mountains, and islands.

More than 5 stars, more like 500! We had a perfect day with Captain Gary. What better way to learn about ocean life than from a local with a wealth of experience and knowledge. He was so welcome and made us feel so comfortable. We saw a host of pods of whales. Captain Gary knows his stuff. Totally recommend!
