Found this gem of a place in the mtns on a google search and it definitely exceeded expectations! The combo of ziplining with this many different levels of aerial courses for the $$ made this place stand out amongst the tons of sites that come up in a google search. Went to sign up online & was initially sad they didn't have the time slots we were hoping for but was impressed that after a quick call they created times that worked for us and they were ready & waiting to welcome us when we arrived. Very much appreciated that they let us drive our own vehicle to the site so that we had easy access to drinks, snacks, change of clothes, sunscreen, $$, video/cameras, cellphone, etc. Captain Zipline may not have a big fancy office or luxury bathrooms back in Salida but if what you're more interested in is the best zipline & aerial course experience this side of the Mississippi, then you've come to the right place. The setting in the mtns/canyons is absolutely gorgeous. Safety was of primary concern throughout the entire experience so I never had to worry about my kids getting hurt. All the equipment, gear, cables, decks, etc were in great shape and well-maintained. The guides were super fun and personable. Thanks, Pat and Preston!! We even got to meet the owner Monty who had the vision to create this place and it's obvious he's passionate about making it the absolute best! It was fun to learn about how the park was designed & built and the guides also shared interesting information about the area. Hands down. A TOP TEN ADVENTURE!!

--Keep in mind that I'm a thirteen year old boy and how hard it is for myself to write anything at this age (; My family and I went to Longmont Colorado this summer for my cousins graduation. We enjoyed hiking in Estes but we absolutely adored our trip to Salida for two reasons. One: The town is in the mountains and provides a great view of Colorado's nature (and the town is just so cozy). Two: We went ziplining and did an amazing aerial course... All in the mountains! The service we did it through was titled "Captain Zipline." It was an absolute knockout! You have the honor to fly though six ziplines over a canyon giving you an amazing view at the surrounding mountains. The tour is also on "Eco Tour" is what I think they called it, where you have the option to learn about the surrounding area and its wildlife. All the "tour guides" were very friendly and helpful letting the group get to know more about what makes Colorado, specifically its nature so unique. After we finished all 6 courses we had the privilege of being able to go on the aerial course which, like the zipline was amazing! There are a total of 9 different and unique courses in the aerial course which are all in the canyon you just ziplined over! They are graded on a scale like skiing so there are Yellow, Greens, Blues and so on. This also gives you an awesome look at the mountains and a fun time! All in all Captain Zipline is the place to go!

We did both the aerial canyon climbing course and the ziplines. The aerial course was our favorite, but both were excellent. It's challenging but very safe. They let you start slow on the aerial course and work up to the more thrilling parts, but even the first bridges are great fun. Good for all ages. Josh was an excellent guide. He builds aerial courses around the country in the off season, so he knows his stuff. Whatever they're paying him, it's not enough. Great way to spend a day with teenagers.
