Had a great time on the zipline. It is very exciting, but seems pretty safe. You have a harness, helmet, and gloves. After a few minutes on a low practice cable, you walk a bit to the first real cable. It is several hundred feet across, and about 100 feet above the Lost Canyon. Quite a rush. After the initial thrill, there are five more cables to hike to. A great activity, suitable for anyone with a little sense of adventure.

Captain Zipline has been in operation for over three years now, and my wife and I finally went with them for an afternoon of adventure. The Lost Canyon (where the lines are located) are a short drive from Salida, and the owner/operator Monty drove us in a converted Swiss NATO vehicle. Once there we got geared up and had a short introduction to the art of zipping. And then we spent a few hours riding on the ziplines -- some longer, some faster, but all safe and scenic. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Salida!
