We arrived really close to departure. The woman at the welcoming stand helped us so much. Wish I knew her name to personally thank her. She told us where to park and we made the boat. Met interesting people and enjoyed the ride to the Island seeing Dolphins on the way. Highly recommend this trip.

Boat was nice catamaran style hull with comfortable seats. Staff was nice boat was clean. Standing in the sun roasting while waiting to board was bad. No way to check bags, you have to schlep your stuff everywhere. When I finally got inside the boat and tried to store my bags I was told there was no room, full boat, just take your bags to your seat. Seats are not reserved so it's a free-for-all. We accidentally discovered the way to go. Forget the middle cabin where everyone is trying to find a seat. Go forward to the front cabin. Seats are easier to find. Take ALL your bags with you and either put them under your seat or next to your seat or in the overhead bins. Much quicker departure if you don't have to wait in line to get your bags out of storage. They are not as strict as airlines about where you put your bags. They have a snack bar with liquor and bathrooms. All you need for a 1 hour trip. The only problem I see is the price with not competition to keep them honest. The only other choice is a helicopter if you want to get to Catalina. Go and Enjoy!!!
