I loved the Catalina Express Journey, the lovely day on Avalon we hired umbrella and chairs for the beach - which meant that we did not have to take any heavy items on the boat the water was perfect for swimming - the whole day way a wonderful experience and I just wish we could have stayed for a few days and not just the day.

My only complaint was the booking of the trip- the person I spoke to at the Catalina Express office was very short with me, kept repeating herself and said I MUST take the 'voucher' with me otherwise I would have to pay again - my family from UK would need ID which meant their passports -which was not a problem but she made it sound like it was going to be difficult somehow when I asked her if the printout I received from Viacom was the voucher' and tried to read exactly what it said she just kept repeating as above - I was feeling VERY anxious until we arrived at Berth 95 and a young lady took what turned out to be 'the voucher' printed out the tickets, was charming and efficient - from that point on the day was 'PERFECT

Can't wait to go again.

The only disappointment was to wait on line for an hourin the 92 degrees heat , and this company cant just build a tent for customers!!!
to be in the shade waiting? !! Really bad waiting for the ferry experience .The rest is good .
