Lovely. The Catalina express is really smooth and you get to enjoy a good 1 hour ride there and back. The island is awesome and has a lot of activates to do there.

We took this ferry from San Pedro to Avalon. The ride was fine, but the delay was longer than expected, about 45 minutes to the island waiting for the adjacent dock to be cleared and about 30 minutes on the way back. One would think there is no traffic on the open sea and boats would run on schedule...
