Billy B was the best and funniest tour guide! He is the GOAT! Greatest of all Tour guides. Was Goat Island named after him? Take the tour and find out!
I loved the funny nature of our guide. He had lots of fun information and good (Dad-type) jokes. He was also super friendly.
I think this trip fit perfectly for the time I had in the day. I needed to arrive, get a tour in, get down to the "cave" (which is really more a tunnel), and didn't have time to wait in line for tickets or self-educate about Niagara.
The tour: you'll be escorted to the best views of the falls and the tour guide will narration along the way. They'll answer questions, take photos for your group if you need that, before taking you to the skip-the-line cave part.
You'll watch a short movie (under 10 min) on Niagara history, then take an elevator down to the "cave" which is really just a tunnel. There are no stalagmites or wind in the "cave."
The red/maroon decks are were you can get up close views of American and Bridal Veil Falls. NOTE: It's not the Horseshoe falls part. This is the wet part of the tour and the most fun for your kids or kids at heart.
If you can, bring a change of clothes, wear swim trunks, or something that will dry quickly. It was 84 and sunny when I went, so the cold water felt nice. If it's November...might be different. You will get a poncho, but for it to work you need to have the hood up the entire time. The most fun would be to wear clothes that you didn't care if got wet and just skip the poncho.
Should you do this? Yes, if you want an Easy Button to see the falls. If you want to spend a bunch of time self-educating and want to risk some line-standing, you probably be at the same point arranging things on your own.
