A really great tour, but I enjoyed the Dark Philly tour just a little more. Pros: Ted was funny, knowledgeable and informative. He is a history teacher who knows his stuff. The tour was very interesting and enjoyable overall.Great stories and tidbits about Philly history. Cons: The tour is a bit too long to begin with, and the staff at Christ Church take over the tour at that cemetery. That guide was not as interesting and took up much of our time there by chatting with us instead of giving us any pertinent information. This resulted in the whole tour being extended by at least a half an hour. It also would have been nice to know in advance about an additional guide for tipping purposes. Also, there was a particularly gabby girl in our group who must have forgotten she was not the tour guide. I do wish Ted had engaged her a little less so that she kept a bit more quiet.

Highly recommend this tour. It's a lot of fun and you'll go to places that you would not have thought to go to. Joe is super real and tells you how it is, making sure to highlight all aspects of history (not just the whitewashed parts). If you like creepy history, getting a real Philly cheesesteak rec, and talking to someone that really knows their stuff, please check out this tour.
